The 2010 LEAD San Diego Visionary Awards
On Thursday, May 27, 2010 LEAD San Diego honored seven regional leaders at the 2010 Visionary Awards. Once again held at the San Diego Marriott and Marina, the 8th annual event drew in record attendance, consisting of many San Diego nonprofit and corporate leaders, educators, elected officials, and philanthropists.
The Visionary Awards are LEAD SAN DIEGO’s annual opportunity to celebrate the work of inspirational San Diego leaders who have dedicated time, talent and treasure to many civic and community initiatives in an effort to foster positive change in the San Diego and Northern Baja region. The event also serves as a fundraiser for LEAD San Diego, a nonprofit organization established 28 years ago, of which its mission is to provide balanced, issue-oriented programming that informs and inspires leadership and civic engagement on regional issues. This effort advances the quality of life of the San Diego region through an ever growing network of capable and engaged civic leaders.
The 2010 event continued its record-setting ways by bringing in the highest number of event sponsorships in the Visionary Awards’ eight year history. Our sincere gratitude go out to these sponsors, as well as our board of directors, volunteers, attendees and supporters for helping make the 2010 Visionary Awards a tremendous success. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2011!
