President & CEO | Judy Forrester

Judy Forrester was appointed to the position of permanent President and CEO of LEAD San Diego in September, 2007. Forrester joined LEAD in July of 2006 as a consultant serving as Interim CEO. Over the past year, Forrester has led strategic planning and re-engineering activities to help steer LEAD towards its next 25 years of service to the San Diego/Baja region.

Prior to joining LEAD, Forrester led the start up of the San Diego County Medical Society Foundation. Previous to that, she served as a senior officer on the transition team of the American Red Cross San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter during its restructuring led by Jerry Sanders. She was Vice President of Public Relations at American Specialty Health and served for five years as Director of Social Service and Healthcare Policy at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce – then later as Director of Corporate Relations.

Forrester has resided in the San Diego area since 1980. She graduated from San Diego State University in 1984 with a degree in Business Management. Married, with three children, she and her family reside in Poway.
